Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success.

  • Coordinate implementation of Tier 1 systems and supports

    • Teach & Reinforce School Behavior Expectation (ROAR)
    • Manage electronic points system (5Star Students program)
    • Model & celebrate staff use of PBIS reinforcement system
  • Collect and review data to implement new systems/supports or adjust existing ones

    • Evaluate monthly 5Star data
    • Gather & analyze student input through 5Star Survey system
    • Gather & reflect on staff input through 5Star Survey system
  • Communicate with staff, students, and families

    • Daily incentive programs to encourage on-time attendance
    • Weekly incentive programs to reteach/reinforce expected school behaivors
    • Weekly update in Staff Bulletin
